May 12 of 12

Once again, it is the 12th of the month. And that means contributing to Chad Darnell's 12 of 12 blog child. Check out Chad's website to see what everyone else did today. For me, it is the last day of my HONEYMOON in Ireland. Sad to leave tomorrow but we've had a great time for the week we were here, despite being delayed 3 days from the ash cloud. Today was spent driving from Dingle, County Kerry to Cong, County Mayo. We are staying in Ashford Castle for our last night here. All the pictures are from there or Cong Village. Enjoy!

2:45 pm Ashford Castle - The entrance to the hotel at the castle

3:45 pm Ashford Castle - After getting checked in, we went to the drawing room to have some lunch. My afternoon tea and my husband's afternoon Guinness

4:30 pm Ashford Castle - After lunch, we went to explore the ground of the castle which were absolutely beautiful.

4:45 pm Ashford Castle - The fountain in one of the gardens

5:00 pm Ashford Castle - The castle seen through a bed of tulips.

5:00 pm Ashford Castle - Seeing how well we could use the delay timer on the camera and one of my most favorite pictures from our trip!

5:10 pm Ashford Castle

5:30 pm Ashford Castle - The setting of Quiet Man, a movie filmed in the 1950s. The house is on the grounds of the castle.

7:00 pm Cong - Going to dinner at a pub in the village, we are once again reminded to drive on the left hand side of the road. I finally tried today and did pretty well. Fortunately, my husband has been willing to drive the rest of the time we've been here.

7:30 pm Cong - Having a drink at The Crow's Nest, a pub in the sleepy little village of Cong.

Thanks for stopping by to see my day. I hope your day was as wonderful as mine. Cheers!
