April 12 of 12

So it's the 12th of the month again, which means another 12 of 12. After this month, only seven more. I guess I'll have to find something else to put in the place of 12 of 12 :( As always, visit Chad's website to see what everyone else was doing today. All these pictures were taken in sunny Gilbert, Arizona.

8:30 am - My own little friendly reminder to document my day.

1:00 pm - Fast forward a few hours where all I did was make phone calls for work. Going to watch the game while I'm typing cases.

3:45 pm - On my way to Crossfit. It was really windy today and apparently it was blowing in cooler weather (which is fine with me).

3:55 pm - Getting ready to go in for Crossfit. The work out of the day, 5 pull ups, 10 push ups, 15 squats, over and over again for 20 minutes, to see how many sets you can do in the time allotted. I managed to finish 14 rounds.

5:00 pm - Documenting the workout so that next time we do the same workout, I can see what I need to beat.

5:15 pm - I pass a row of Bougainvillea bushes coming into the neighborhood. They are just finishing up their peak bloom, and are beautiful.

6:15 pm - Emptying the dishwasher before I start on dinner.

6:30 pm - The filling I made for the stuffed pork chops. It's marscarpone cheese, roasted red peppers, and sun-dried tomatoes.

6:40 pm - I realized after I already stuffed the chops that the stuffing will not stay in while it is grilling, so I left the extra out so that we could top the chop when it was done.

7:00 pm - While the pork chops were grilling, I checked out the sunset, and also realized that I took an almost exact same picture for last month's 12 of 12.

7:00 pm - Checking on the start of some (hopefully) sweet and delicious San Marzano tomatoes.

7:30 pm - Dinner. The chops covered in the cheese mixture and wilted spinach with balsamic and bacon bits. Yummy!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my day. See you next month.

March 12 of 12

It's the 12th of March so you should know the drill. 12 pictures of my day, which wasn't very interesting. But here it is anyway! Thanks again to Chad for hosting our endeavors. Check out his website to see what everyone else did today.

8:30 am Gilbert, AZ - My breakfast, 3 bacon, sausage, onion, and chive fritatas. Yummy.

11:15 am Queen Creek, AZ - Headed out to do an interview. We've had so much rain over the past month, everything is very green in the desert.

11:15 am Queen Creek, AZ - Even the mountains are covered in green.

12:15 pm Mesa, AZ - Stopped by my condo to pick up a few things. It was a beautiful day today. Enjoying it before the temp spikes to the 90s or higher.

12:30 pm Gilbert, AZ - A quick check on my odometer so I can remember what my mileage is to report it.

12:30 pm Gilbert, AZ - Another reminder that I am due for an oil change in my government car.

2:00 pm Gilbert, AZ - Spent some time organizing my cases so I know what I have to get done next week.

4:15 pm Gilbert, AZ - CD's medals were delivered today which was good since he needs them on Tuesday for the change of command ceremony.

6:45 pm Gilbert, AZ - Headed out to get some dinner. The remnants of an Arizona sunset.

6:45 pm Gilbert, AZ - I liked the silhouette of the palm tree in the sunset.

9:30 pm Gilbert, AZ - Flipped on ESPN to check some college basketball scores. I caught the picture as it was changing, which I thought was interesting.

9:30 pm Gilbert, AZ - Debating whether or not to tackle some things from the "wedding corner" tonight or save it for the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my day. See you next month!

February 12 of 12

Happy February everyone! I'm going to try to keep this up for the whole year so I'm 2 of 2 so far. Once again, thanks to Chad for hosting the 12 of 12. Check out what everyone else did today at Chad's website.

10:30 am Gilbert, AZ - First stop of the day, the Post Office to mail off the last of the wedding invitations!

10:45 am Mesa, AZ - Headed to my condo to switch vehicles so I could use my government car to go do some work.

11:30 am Mesa, AZ - Next stop at Auto Zone to get some windshield washer fluid for my government car.

12:00 pm Phoenix, AZ - Headed into downtown Phoenix, and there was still a traffic jam at noon.

12:45 pm Phoenix, AZ - I see the same types of signs all over the place. I guess the labor unions hire a company to do their protesting for them. I guess they're too busy disputing to do their own protesting.

1:30 pm Phoenix, AZ - Had an appointment at a cafe for an interview to become a mentor for a local program.

2:45 pm Phoenix, AZ - Headed back home to trade out vehicles again and passed one of those evil mobile photo radar vehicles. Don't get me started about them...

4:30 pm Scottsdale, AZ - Headed to CD's office so we can go to a soccer game. Not sure the connection between hotdogs and oil changes.

4:45 pm Scottsdale, AZ - The calendar on CD's desk. I didn't think today was very funny.

5:15 pm Phoenix, AZ - Watching my future nephew's soccer game.

6:00 pm Phoenix, AZ - A nice AZ sunset.

6:15 pm Phoenix, AZ - The valentine that my future mother-in-law made for me.

All in all, a pretty good day, and a Friday on top of that. Happy Valentines Day!

January 12 of 12

It's a bit sad that this is the last year Chad will be hosting the 12 of 12, so make sure you head over to check out his website to make sure you see what everyone else did today. Today I'm in Las Vegas for work so all the pictures were taken there during the course of my work day and evening enjoyments!

8:30 am Las Vegas - Home Sweet (2nd) Home

8:35 am 95 South leaving my hotel - Last time I was here not all the lanes were open. Traffic is much better now.

11:30 am I-15 Las Vegas - Headed to one of my many appointments of the day.

11:35 am Las Vegas - After much consideration, I have decided that I do not like the looks of these vehicles. It's a refrigerator box driving down the road.

12:35 pm Las Vegas - Stopping for a quick lunch. I was very good and had a salad for lunch so I could eat at my favorite restaurant tonight.

1:15 pm Las Vegas Strip - One of the many wedding chapels in Las Vegas, although this one is on the south of the strip.

1:45 pm Las Vegas Strip - Headed up towards my hotel after finishing up my 1:30 appointment.

3:15 pm - Having a quick snack of cashews and dried mangos (yum yum) before I go workout at the gym.

8:35 pm Las Vegas Strip - I thought this was interesting because you can see both the Bellagio and Ceasar's Palace in the picture, but Ceasar's is a reflection on the glass.

8:35 pm Las Vegas Strip - Another pic with Bally's and Paris and the reflection of the Flamingo.

8:45 pm Bellagio conservatory - Part of the seasonal display in the conservatory which isn't quite finished yet.

8:45 Bellagio conservatory - Another pic from the seasonal display.

Thanks for coming to visit with me today. I'm going to try to get a 12 of 12 done every month this year so check back every month to see if it get it done!

3:00 pm - Cruise ship anchored near Bar Harbor.

3:30 pm - Lobster boat off the coast of Bar Harbor

4:00 pm - Right outside of my favorite ice cream shop in Bar Harbor

4:15 pm - Lobster ice cream. Yes, you read that right, LOBSTER ice cream. It actually wasn't too bad, just vanilla ice cream with frozen chunks of lobster meat. We had to try it.

So hopefully you've enjoyed taking a quick peek in on my little mini vacation I'm taking. In a few days it will be back to Arizona where my next 12 of 12 will be! See you next month.
